Established since 1919 in the center of the village of La Bridoire, the plant specializing in technical fasteners for the automotive industry is an example of industrial success.
EXPERIENCE IN THE SERVICE OF PERFORMANCE
The company decided to remain firmly rooted in Savoy by building its new plant on the edge of the highway in the Val Guiers industrial zone in the commune of Avressieux.
It took 8 years to complete the new 17.000 m² plant:
- Construction of a 3.000 m² logistics building in 2014
- 7.000 m² extension for new heat treatment and surface treatment facilities in 2017 / 2018
- Extension of 7.000 m² to house the cold forging and thread rolling workshops plus the creation of 1.600 m² for administrative offices in 2022/2023
The transfer of activities from the historic La Bridoire site to the new site was completed in January 2023, bringing together all its 190 employees.
This marks the final stage of a project designed to support the site’s future development, to meet the new quality and logistics requirements of its automotive customers, and to improve working conditions for employees, with a redesigned plant featuring the latest workspace layouts and energy efficiency standards.
Agrati has invested €14.7 million in this latest phase, as well as in the associated production investments. To keep pace with developments in the automotive market (electric cars, digitalization, connectivity, etc.), the Group has decided to invest in a new, innovative particle cleaning process.
This industrial project goes hand in hand with the development of its know-how with the creation of an in-house training school, “Agrati University”. The goal, also in response to the current tight labor market, is to attract talents and provide them the specific technical training about our complex production process.
The conditions are thus in place to ensure the long-term future and growth of the Agrati Val Guiers site in the years to come.
